Scotland: The Highlands Photo Journal
In this second hearing of the matter between Edinburgh v That Lawyer Trots, I shall tell you in detail about a Scottish treasure, its priceless possession – The Highlands. The Highlands have their own native population and nature completely different from what you might see in the whole of Scotland.
In today’s time, going to the Highlands is fairly easy and it is one of the best tourist spots. There are several options available with various different tour companies, so it is best to do your research beforehand to figure out what all do you want to see in the Highlands.
I pre-booked our tour online via Rabbie’s as I was traveling in the holiday season of December, but they also have their office in the Waterloo Place in Edinburgh. In fact, it was actually cheaper to book on the spot than it was on pre-booking! However, if you do not have flexible days, it is best advised to pre-book.
The day tour usually lasts for 12 hours (8am-8pm) starting from and ending at Waterloo Place. The details of the tour I booked can be found here.
Here are some of my postcard perfect shots from the tour!
With snow everywhere, the environment is as glim and black and white as a lawyer’s attire, yet full of life unlike…well, a lawyer’s life!
Our last stop was at Pitlochry, which was a small but mesmerising town. We got there past sunset so we could not see much of the town, but I highly recommend visiting there and spending at least a few hours! you won’t regret it I promise.
Which were your favourite Highlands moments? Did I miss something? Let me know in the comments!
If you plan to visit Scotland soon, do share your experiences!
Until my next travel!

The highlands never disappoint anyone and so does your post. You just made me go nostalgic. Glencoe looks beautiful in summers, it’s all green. Also, when it comes to booking the tour, it is advisable that you go to tourist information centre and book it from there itself. Furthermore, this would help you save 5 pounds easily. And I remember, how I saved 10 pounds by talking to that lady in French and she gave me an extra discount of 5 pounds ( she was very pretty , just to add ).
Also, I couldn’t locate Nessie, my bad luck. I’d advise people to spend a day or two in the hills to get a closer picture of how beautiful this place is.
PS : Keep writing 🙂
